Please note there will be no extra-curricular clubs in Term 1. We will provide further information on term 2 shortly.
Here at WTLA we believe extra-curricular activities provide children with opportunities to enhance their education and develop their skills as life-long learners. We strive to provide our pupils with a broad and balanced variety of extra-curricular activities that will help make their journey at our school an adventure.
Clubs will be advertised at the end of term, ready for the terms ahead. Parents/carers are encouraged to sign up to clubs as early as possible, as clubs are regularly oversubscribed. When this is the case, children’s names will be drawn from a hat and any unsuccessful applicant will be placed on a waiting list. Please do not send your child to a club until you have received and returned a confirmation slip.
We offer a mixture of paid and non-paid clubs at WTLA. When a club has a fee, it is to cover any additional equipment needed, consumable resources or to provide a small snack for the children. Don’t forget-if you are eligible for Pupil Premium funding, we will offer you financial support to pay for clubs. Please don’t hesitate to contact the school Office about this.
Some clubs at WTLA are run by external organisations and need to be applied for directly with them. Some clubs may involve participation in leagues or tournaments. Details of any additional commitments will be sent to you with at least 2 weeks notice wherever possible.
